Quebec, and in particular the Eastern Townships, are a great vacation destination, both in the winter and the summer. In March of 2005 we embarked on a week-long ski trip and were based out of the town of Magog. We got to see various towns in the area, including picturesque North Hatley and Sherbrooke. Our ski adventures included Owl’s Head, Mount Orford and Jay Peak, just across the border in Vermont. During the summer, this region is also extremely popular with bicyclists and mountain bike racers who go crazy at Bromont, a mountain that also doubles as a ski resort in the winter. The Eastern Townships is a popular cottage area for Montrealers and also offers a variety of wineries and picturesque villages.
