Mallorca 2009

The Mediterranean region has been one of my favourite travel destinations for a long time. After having visited the Spanish islands of Ibiza and Tenerife, I definitely wanted to explore the island of Mallorca, especially since it is renowned for its scenic beauty. May of 2009 was the perfect time for a trip to this Mediterranean island and we enjoyed our first night at the Finca Son Pont, a historic manor estate with several hundred years of history. We stayed at another historic mansion, Finca Ca’s Sant in the beautiful northern town of Soller. During my 10 days in Mallorca I had a chance to explore almost the entire island. I loved the mountaineous north with villages such as Puigpunyent, Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Soller and Pollença. From our base west of the capital of Palma we also explored the west and saw places like Calvia, Andratx, Sant Elm and Sa Dragonera.
